Wow, that took some time and or many bodies and a big truck/trailer to accomplish, unless they were pilferred slowly I guess.  Were they taken out of the field or storage?  Either way, too bad for the club, but they sure as heck should have insurance on that much of an investment.

That's all the info I know, it was posted on the Washington State Archery Association group. Who the heck wants that many targets, I'm assuming maybe it was in a trailer that was stolen? but maybe not. Really unfortunate. I believe the club is out of Spokane, WA.

Just the way a few situations played out; that combined with similar stories from others.

I'm not trying to derail the thread.  My point was that I am sorry to hear of their misfortune regardless of whether I go there or not.

I did a search and couldn't find it posted anywhere on here, I do hope someone chimes in. That's still all the info I'm seeing people post on Facebook.

I consider that a strange theft. They aren't really worth anything as far as resale... and who is going to steal that many targets to put up at their house?  :bash:

I've seen the rinehart targets resell for pretty good values actually, even on here.. but yes I agree very strange theft.

Pretty small audience to sell to. Should be easy to keep an eye out for them. U dont see them for sale that often especially a bunch.

They keep the targets inside a locked connex at evergreen when not in use. Unless they were set up for a shoot.
I dont follow their shoot schedule much. And agree with johnathan s on a few experiences there. Glad i have my own place to shoot now. still feel bad about the theft tho.

It was a shock, for sure.  Between 4pm Saturday night and 9:30am Sunday morning someone cut the lock on the gate, then cut/jerked the reinforced doors off our conex box.  They only targeted the one with our 3D herd, and stole 18+ targets.  There were tracks in the road the sheriff took pictures of, and we have supplied the sheriff's office with the list of missing items and their value.  The reporting member saw a person behind the 80 yard target that didn't appear to belong, but lost him in the woods.  The sheriff didn't find anything out of place on the rest of the course.  He was also searching for a stolen car (white Jeep) that was found on Rimrock.  Could have been the car thief, but they appear to be two separate instances.  We have members searching craigslist from Oregon to Montana, and have alerted as many clubs as we can at the moment.

Previously we had trail cameras watching our assets, but in the LAST break-in, the trail cams were also stolen.  We did, fortunately, recently sign insurance papers, and we're waiting to hear back from them.  We should be able to replace everything we lost.  It's a very unfortunate incident, as it took us all summer to secure this insurance and they'll likely drop us immediately after resolving this matter.  Very frustrating.

Silver Arrow Bowmen armored up several of our buildings because we had a small time break in (weedwackers chainsaw and gas stolen). Some jack wagon has it in for you so if you armored up and it still happens....  :dunno:

My father ed gomez and i have shot their for years. They keep the targets in a steel train cart, and we built a roof over it a few years back. It does have an entry locked gate that you must be a member to even have the gate code. Whoever did it is a real piece of sh##, and it is a huge loss for a really outstanding club. Sorry to everyone that enjoys the club as much as i do. We just got those targets new a few years back. What a travesty! :'(

Blast from the past here.  Did the targets ever show up or did they just disappear and nothing ever came of the investigation?

The targets have been recovered, the men tried to sell the targets to Double Eagle Pawn in Deer Park, well they sold 3 to them. One of our club members Peter Stewart was out at Double Eagle and noticed the targets he asked a salesman where they got the targets, the salesman said he had just bought them. Peter saud, "well there stolen." Shortly after the Sheriffs Department contacted the theifs then 3/4 of the targets were recovered. Sorry it took so long to get back to ya'all, im txting this from my dads 60 th Birthday party and he just told me the scoop. Thats GOOD NEWS!

I saw a truck and trailer that said Baker construction on it on Thursday or Friday down on maple and fourth. The truck and trailer were full of targets. I was wondering if they had been recovered. Truck was heading towards the club.

Ya especially  when you sell 3 brand new targets for $250.00 and they cost $400.00 a piece, that should draw a red flag you would think. " Hey wana buy my $700 rifle for $150.00?" Lol What a joke. Atleast we can all enjoy them again. Brings a  :chuckle: to my face. Gotta love our Spokane Meth heads.

I agree with the other comments about the pawn shops... I'm assuming they lose money anytime stolen items are recovered from their shops. Why wouldn't they do more to make sure items are legit  :dunno: I guess it's not that easy maybe.

My guess is they make more off of the stolen stuff than they lose off of the stolen stuff.  It sucks for the guy that got his stuff stolen for sure.
