Thanks for all the inputs :tup:  Looks like I need to do more shopping for gear. :bash:    After my divorce is final I will be able to afford some finer things in life, like wads and powder  :chuckle:

Seth, sorry to hear about the big D, didn't know that was going on.
  Yeah for the last 3 months, best part was one of my best friends new it was coming and never said a word....  He is no longer a friend.    Give me a call tonight Ed.

Why are you shooting coons?  I use a .22  A shotgun will destroy the hide.
  Maybe the modified choke helps not destroy the hide?  I have yet to destroy one, and have shot 27 with my shotgun.  How close are you in the shots?  I am on average 20-30 yards.

On a off note,  can you use plywood as stretching boards?  I have plenty of plywood laying around and though of cutting it to shape for the hides....

I have not done it but I've seen stretching boards like that.  You use a thin wood shim in there so you can get the hides off the board later.
