has anyone used their gear? I want some light weight wool pants for early season and these look pretty good but no one wears wool anymore. I actually just wear dickies work pants in the early season because they hold up great but It's miserable wearing cotton when it rains. If any of you have any insiggt I'd surely appreciate it.

I have some first lite shirts and storm jacket, I really like the gear. Can't comment on these pants but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them.

I have the kanab pants.  Just got them this year.  Hiking around through soaking wet grass and brush with a pair of merino wool long johns and the kanab pants i noticed that i LOOKED soaked and miserable but felt warm dry and comfortable.  i like the pants a lot.  the suspender loops are great to have too.  worth the $150 for sure

I have the Kanab Pants, I don't like the fit at all. There are a lot better light weight pants out there (not merino wool). I love the Merino wool for base layers.

I have the Kanabs and the Kuiu Attacks. Wore them both in Montana this year in cold weather with merino underneath. Love them both but spent more days in the kanabs. If they fit you right you will love them and you can wear them days on end without washing and they dont stink. I have bought all my first lite gear from Kelly @ *censored* outdoorgear and she is head and shoulders above anybody on price and service. First lite is not cheap but I love every piece I own so far. :twocents:

If you plan on using them in thick brush they don't hold up real well but if your not going through the thick stuff they are awesome..  I had a pair that ripped in the crotch and emailed first lite and they sent me a new pair to replace them..  Not sure yet if I am going to keep the replacements mainly because I am always in the brush.  Will be picking up a lot of their other items..

Would agree with coop on the durability in thick brush. Gaiters would help extend the life of the lower legs however

My buddy wore his in Oct deer huntin and got absolutely soaked in the pouring rain (jackazz didn't bring rain pants) and they were warm and they dried out once it quit raining. We are both sold on them but I would recommend the Kuiu Attacks if you want to go a different direction on material and save a few bucks. Not sure how they do when they get wet however.

I picked up a new pair of the Kanab pants this year and like them.  I do have a pair of some synthetic core4element pants that are much lighter and don't get as warm.  I hunt early archery and it was really warm out so i went with my core4element ones.  The only thing i didn't like about the pants was that the suspenders have a plastic clip that attaches to the pants and it was right on my hip belt.  I should of took the suspenders off for the long pack haul.  I wore them a lot this season for deer and even when i got wet they were still warm and are extremely quite.  I dont think there is synthetic pant that will be more quite than wool.

I would recommend something like the Kuiu attack pants for bottoms as well. I wear merino wool for my base layers (top and bottom) and second top layer.. doesn't stink, and it is warm even when soaked. Also, it dries fast, so a light merino layer can be great in warm weather as well.

I absolutely love my First Lite Gear. Have a great layering systems and a nice variety of colors and camo patterns to chose from. I strongly recommend them   they have something for every season and is all I hunt in from September to December, from head to toe!! Their staff is awesome to work with as well; fast delivery and fair pricing considering the quality of product they put out.
