I did some checking on this and found out the property is private and closed to public access. The dike has not been breeched, the work going on is one of the phases of the project.. there are signs around the property in various spots and at the gate..

Looks like every duck in the county is in this place.  I wish someone would go in there and scare them out.

I'd suggest calling the property manager for the Port of Everett and asking.  If the dikes are breached, it's probably OK to boat in and hunt.  When I last checked, Everett was allowing folks to duck hunt the breached dikes between Union Slough and the sewage ponds, by boat.  Not too sure about eating those birds...

Get in a boat go up to a dike and blast them as they go in and out.  That's the way of hunting the sloughs.  It will take a good year to develop the place and then it will be a great resting spot.  Having a boat changes a lot of hunting for the better.  There are spots to decoy.  Get out and learn the area.  There are so many spots around when you have a good boat.  Unless you have leased property it remains to a go of it.  Walk in spots are not as easy as going east on public property over here.  That spot for resting birds will hold them and keep more for the local area.  Yes, lots of deer back in there, good comment H20.

I actually just pasted this area and there was a boat pulled up on the sloughs edge with a guy walking in looking like he was about to hunt. Not sure if it is legal but I'm sure this guy is about to have his limit within minutes.

As stated before there is no breached dikes, the flood gate has broken and repairs are being conducted to fix this issue.there is no public access to the property for hunting or anything else.. far as the guy yesterday sneeking over the dike, didn't see a bird fall when shots fired, just ruined a great resting/staging area for all us a hunting around this area till seasons end...

are you sure? They were digging trenches from the middle of the field to the edge of the slough a couple of weeks ago, they have also been saying for years that those fields were going to be flooded

Funny thing is a couple weekends ago we saw probably 7 boats all pulled up there and several guys packing decoys back there. Seems nobody thought it was private property and crowded into the place.

I'd find somebody and beat them if they did that to me. Just goes to show how many slobs there are out there.
