Oh, about 15 minute limits and that was being picky looking for big ones. If I'd dug little holes, could have had limits in 5 minutes.

I'm currently sitting on the beach just south of the Grayland Beach State Park approach waiting for the tide.
We were in the exact same area, but got there about 2:00pm. Five limits of clams and then helped my buddy and his wife as it was their first time.

Dug these tonight with my son ....I'll be grinding up a few limits for fritters soon...another member toldme to try some with hash browns mixed in...can't wit to try that with eggs for breakfast  :tup:

Cut the diggers into bite sized pieces, season, flour and fry very hot in bacon grease until golden brown.  Mix these in with scrambled eggs for breakfast.  This is really tasty.

I tried your fritter recipe.  Awesome.  I went a step further.  I had some country gravy from cash and carry in the 5lb can.  I put hat on left over fritters.  Yum!!!!

My brother likes to take cleaned clams and put them in the leftover juice from his favorite jarred pickled chili peppers. He lets them soak at least a week, and I have to admit, they are pretty good. He doesn't do anything else to them and after a week soaking, they just get better the longer you soak them.

I did the fritter recipe also. Simple, and turned out really tasty. I substituted Krusteaz for the flour though.

Just had me some clam fritters. The wife did one similar to the one here but added bell peppers, jalapeños, and other stuff. Yum!
