Gallion checked the flamingo cam, decent bear action. He is out hunting now, no bears yet.

Stang never called for help last night so he didn't see any yesterday.  Think he'll be back out tomorrow.

This happens every year, but I'm starting to hate bears again this year.

I've seen some peels and poop, people might say that bears had been there.  I think someone is messing with me and is leaving them around the woods like an Easter egg hunt just to watch me burn gas.

Going to change the oil in the car and start up my new $299 generator today and then go hit it. Might go check the index gate... just because I haven't been up there yet.  Has anyone checked the small area near mt loop hwy?

there are peels and skat, just have to get out of your truck and adventure in spots that look good.... personally this is not my style of hunting.... got the high country blues here>>>---> jungle bears are a tough gig.

I spent the good chunk of the weekend out hunting. Found one new spot with a good number of peels that happens to be right next to a giant berry field. If nothing else I think i know where i will be sitting on August 1st. Other than that I moved one of my cams and walked some old roads. I'm finding spots with a good number of peels, just haven't been able to stumble on a bear. Oh and to top it off the one cam i had out that was getting regular bear activity hasn't had one in front of it in almost 2 weeks now. not sure what happened.

Closest I got this weekend was a fresher pile of bear poop and some old tracks (thanks Dinker).  I get the feeling as the season progresses we're going to see a lot more evidence of where they're concentrating.

Its hard for me to hunt in places where I could hunt in August because I feel like having the key, I need to take advantage of the area.  I've been places that I will NEVER walk to, I promise.  Especially due to lack of wildlife (where are the deer?!?).

I'm still pretty confident, maybe I shouldn't be.

I've taken YEARS off of the life of my truck driving the crappy roads and burned through 1 t-rex worth of gas so far.
