Notice to Deer Hunters from WDFW‏

WDFW WILDLIFE PROGRAM
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife
600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501-1091
wildthing@dfw.wa.gov
Dear Hunters:

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife wants to inform you of an error in Washington's 2015 Big Game Hunting Seasons and Regulations pamphlet.

On pages 32-39, under the special deer permit hunt choices for categories:
•Youth Deer Hunts (hunt choices 1530-1540 and 1573-1583), Deer Hunters 65 Years and Over (hunt choices 1621-1631 and 1655-1667), and Deer Hunters with Disabilities (hunt choices 1754-1764 and 1776-1786) in GMUs 411-417 and 419-422 have been placed in the wrong categories.  These hunt choices should have been placed in the Second Deer category.  Selected applicants for these hunt choices will have the choice to either purchase a second deer tag and participate in the hunt, or return the permit and have their points restored.  The second deer tag must be for the same weapon choice as your first deer tag.

•Deer Hunters with Disabilities category hunt choices 1760 and 1782 are erroneous and will not occur.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

yeah i found other errors in the second deer app list besides these and tried to call the number but no answer so i just applied for what i knew i wanted and left it at that.   the whole ML 2nd deer list was not correct. i will be surprised if the whole thing actually is correct but we may not ever know...
