Shed hunting in the news

http://nwpr.org/post/wildlife-detectives-illegal-antler-hunting-deadly-game-elk

Good article and video on ethical shed hunting. Some questionable info provided, but overall I believe it is a fair treatment of the issues shed hunters deal with.

As an aside, if anybody knows where the $35/# elk antler buyer is I'll buy lunch!

Don't know if the 1000 dollar fine is true.   If so the state could have added a lot of funds to the coffer if they wanted 'round joe watt this year!

Should have made mention that you can only pick up naturally shed antlers. Would hate to see a newbie get busted for picking up a deadhead.
