Maybe the internet police can help me out, the only thing I see in the regs is oversized can not be removed from the water.  So what is the rule?

I'm not sure of the rules, that's why I asked. Years ago we fished for them up north, then fish and game closed fishing for them. No fishing for sturgeons in Roosevelt, and they were giving tickets to guys fishing burbot with heavy gear. So my thought is if you accidentally caught one, you should release it with as little stress as possible. Send the pictures to fish and wildlife and see if they want to hand out a ticket.

we cleaned 5 pike this year so far and they have had 4-5" trout and 3-7" walleyes in them along with sculpins and crawdaddies.  I guess the guys fishing at night from shore having been doing pretty good on them this year.

Cool. Never seen hard evidence of sturgeon out of there. Too bad about the pike. Don't like seeing them moving through the system.

No going to be good for the river system. Unfortunately, think they are here to stay. minus draining the rivers or killing everything that's in them, our only option is management at this point. On the bright side it might be alot of fun to catch a bunch on top water, burnin blades above weed beds, and fighting toothy critters. Always wanted to go musky/pike fishin

The only positive about the pike is that they can decrease the walleye population and possibly result in some bigger 'Eyes

Overall though, Pike are no bueno
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
