That looks like fun, does anyone here do this on the east side of the state?

I'm in the Pullman area.
Do you put the traps in the Palouse or the Snake? this sounds like it could be something I could get into. Do you build your own traps or buy? what do you use for bait?

I'm using a couple of Frabill traps that a bought at Tri-State in Moscow. I've been using salmon heads in the Snake River. Usually get 10-30 per pot. I have two different pots and weird that the smaller one gets more crawdads.

Went to Waitts lake last weekend. There's dads in there but couldn't get them to get into my pots or anyone else's pots for that matter. The kids were catching them by wading out and flipping rocks. I was too much of a puss to do that. The owner of the resort we stayed at said there used to be a lot more dads in the lake but the catfish put a huge dent in the population in recent years.
