It's all good now it's full of gas, 35 gallons should be enough for the weekend.  :chuckle:

Boss & Loki...have a great time. You probably won't burn through 5 gallons of gas to find the sheep...the rest will be just for running around and playing on the lake. Wish I could join you guys but I won't be over there until next weekend.

Take a few photos for me!

No wind. The lake has been glass. Even though you are bringing rain for Sat. you wont have to see what the wind will do here. Enjoy

Gusted to 55mph Sat night.  :yike:  After the second tent collapse, we tied one pole to a log and a tree. No more problems.

Take a few photos for me.

Put 100 miles on the boat (on the water). We saw a bunch of deer,  all does (One little Forky in the campground). We also saw a bunch of sheep including two or three shooters. Two will be the targets for the opener. I'll have to post pics tomorrow.

The cutthroat fishing was good as well, two limits in two days.

Thanks go out to the couple of great people we met.  The Decatur deer will also be happy with the 150 or so pounds of apples I picked up.   ;)

Loki I thought you were gonna post pics of all those great fish you caught?  :dunno:

People are really anxious to see some pics.  :chuckle:

Grrrr....  >:(  I spent a bunch of time writing something up and downloading pics, and it's not even here.   :bash:

Anyways, short version is the the picture name pretty much describes it.  Not sure if the "shooter" is really one though, especially when I look at pics from Chelan Butte.

The first band we saw apparently has a radio-tagged ewe in it, which we did not notice with the binoculars.

And yes, the fish tasted great!

Enjoy.

Glad you had a good time...my dad called and mentioned you had a chance to stop by his place and chat a little...and went for a short drive. Were there any chukars in the rock bluffs above the lake?

Saw some birds, mostly around cabins though.  Llama Jim was thrilled to get some prawns.

The photo/ram I was refering to (7/8 curl) is the one behind the ewes in your photo titled "nice band with shooter 2"

  That was the biggest one we thought.

Plan on heading up the third to see where they are then.

Hunt time is closing in.  I will be heading over to Chelan on the third to get a full day of scouting in before the opener on the fifth.  Has anyone noticed any rutting behavior yet with the sheep?
