We as a chapter realize that the only way for your Green River Gobblers to succeed and grow is by expanding our membership.  We welcome all levels of membership.  From those who want to be active in your chapter, attending meetings and planning events to those who want to assist with events like your annual banquet, JAKES day and more.  Become involved and influence the direction of your Chapter…

2009 Benefit Auction & Banquet Dinner

2009 Special - $75 couples tickets!
Two years in a row tickets have sold out early in February. Mark your calendars (early & often); invite your co-workers, friends & family, and plan for a Grand night out.  We have booked both the Chinook and Coho rooms again and we are planning for a Great event this year. Return your attached Ticket Order Form right away!
2008 GRG Chapter Accomplishments

2008 Howard House JAKES Event

I would like to thank everyone who attended your 6th Annual JAKES Event event this past June at the Black Diamond Gun Range, and especially the Volunteers, Sponsors and Chapter members who made it all possible.  It was definitely a rewarding experience working with the 50+ kids in attendance for the fishing, archery, shooting, compass reading and calling classes.  We plan on this being an annual event and will give plenty of notice before this summer’s JAKES Event.  Check your chapter website for more information.  www.auburnnwtf.org

2008 WITO Co-sponsored Event

In July we co-sponsored the local WITO - Women in the Outdoors Event with the South Sound Longbeards and the Narrows Strut Busters.  Women from all over the Puget Sound enjoyed a day filled with Archery, Dutch Oven Cooking, Scrapbooking, ATV, Water Safety and Shooting classes.
Check your chapter website for more information.  www.auburnnwtf.org

2008 GRG THC Donations

Your Chapter donated $925 through the THC - Turkey Hunters that Care this Thanksgiving to 4 local food banks in Auburn, Black Diamond, Buckley and Enumclaw. This year there was a special need due to our down turned economy.  We appreciate all of the donations from our members to support this terrific program!

2008-2009 College Scholarship

This year your Chapter is awarding a $500 scholarship to: White River High School student Sam Crocco from Buckley, WA. He holds a 3.916 GPA and is ranked 9th out of 289 students in his class. Sam wants to major in Bioengineering and has lettered in Academics and Golf. This is an annual scholarship donated in the name of the NWTF.  Juniors should look for information on your www.auburnnwtf.org website. Interested high school seniors, shall be a Jakes member, have a hunting license and forward applications directly to me.

If you have any level of interest, I would encourage you to assist with our banquet ticket sales this year and introduce more friends and family to your event!  This will help tremendously to insure the banquet continues to be a huge success in the future.  Just drop me an email or call, and we will honor whatever level of commitment you can provide.

Please remember the winter storm and flood victims in your local communities and give them a helping hand.

Wishing everyone a happy New Year!

Enthusiastically,

Kevin E. Vaughn

Same here.  I appreciate your organization and the work you do, but not one cent of mine will go to the tribe.  any if I can help it.  I own't even gas up on rez, or buy a firework or attend a concert.  ITS BOYCOTT for me anything that has to do with them, until they get the point that they live in America and we are all the same.  No racial bias whatsoever.  I can honor my heritage just fine, I don't need special customs or whatever.

and by the way I am not whining. I am taking a STAND!  Who else will sacrifice some fun and take a stand as well.  From Turkeys to elk to sheep to deer.  I won't support, and I do support alot of organizations even in tough economical times, any that plan to be on a Rez.

i sent RMEF a nice letter.  I wrote it so that it addressed their excuses in their form letter, so they will have to go to form letter number 2 if they are to respond, if they respond.  Its time all sportsmen and women band together.  We are a small group compared to the rest of the world, but if all of us TAKE A STAND, then someone will listen.  Tell every non hunter friend you know about the slaughter, about taxes about whatever it takes to keep them from supporting them and these big casinos will be done.  Talk about the ultimate payback, they are taking YOUR MONEY.

I agree 100 %!!! Lets boycott the Indian Casinos, smoke shops, etc, etc, and any charitable group that associates with them. Nothing gets attention quicker than the good old $.

i was thinking this would be a good chance to join the nwtf, till i ran into the casino thing...

sorry, but won't happen.

thanks for your time with the foundation, and maybe you can take the reactions you see here regarding the casinos to the board members and find a better place next year.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Can't do it.  I have too much first hand knowledge of the hypocrisy with regard to Tribes and this state's wildlife conservation/restoration efforts.

I'm a long time NWTF, RMEF, DU, etc...supporteer, but I refuse to step foot on Tribal land.  I could write a book about why, but I'll spare you.  This whole Tribal nation thing is a HUGE lie.  We live in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - ONE NATION, UNDER GOD!
