Eastside bear down
« on: August 19, 2015, 07:35:52 AM »
Well opening day was a good one for me this year! Went to a spot where I see bears every year sat my butt down under a tree to glass this hill side, was Glassing for about a hour without seeing anything so I decided to play my fawn in distress call. Played it for about 15 minutes and noticed something  black come out of the aspen grove at about 1500 yards it was a bear haha standing up eating a old crab apple tree, so I loaded my pack and started the tree up the steep hill. I got all the way up to where I saw the bear and nothing, so I took a few more steps and boom up jumps the bear he was sleeping! Shot him runnin away from me at about 20 yards as soon as I hit him he spun around and ran right towards me shot him three more times before he rested 10 ft in front of me.. Never have been charged by a bear let alone after it was shot

Quadrafire, it's a ruger m77 target rifle it's a little heavy but she drives tacks chambers in 308?

Bearpaw head competition? What are you talking about?
