I ended up going with Kuiu. Luckily everything I bought was in stock and I recieved within a week of being ordered. I was very lucky. I wore most of my gear on a scouting trip for elk in super windy, snowing, and cold conditions. It was amazing the difference it made between the gear i have worn in the past. At first I was in disbelief because of the clothing being so lite and thin. In my mind im thinking i just spent all this money on something that wont even keep me warm. It performed exactly how it was supposed to. Snuck right up on a beded down Spike bull, 9 mule deer does, and a nice 4x4 mule deer. I stayed warm and dry the whole hike without overheating. Like someone else spoke of the merino base layer bottoms are freaking awesome. i love how they designed them to be taken on and off so easy. the gear I ended up with is:

ICON Pro 5200
Ultra Merino 145 Zip-Off Bottom
Teton Rain Pant
Teton Soft Shell Jacket
Teton Insulated Jacket
Teton Rain Jacket
Ultra Merino 145 LS Crew-T
Ultra Merino 125 SS Crew-T
Peloton 200 Zip-T Hoodie
Attack Pant

It does have a very athletic fit and I am 5'8" so the 32" pants are a little on the long side which means ill just have to take them in to be hemed up. Great product though and i cant wait to try everything out Friday on my first archery elk hunt.

I ordered the gators a couple weeks before elk season. I got them a few days before we left. I had my doubts about them though. They seemed to be so tight, but once they were on I never knew they were there and they were dry and quiet. I was teased though for looking like a WWI infanty guy.

Ya a friend of mine at work had the same thing happen. Poor management I wonder how much business they've lost... Does anyone know where it is made? If it's made here in the USA I will probably look into it deeper. But I'm not paying high dollar for Chinese made mark up stuff.
None of the good stuff is made here in the US. That's all the high quality gear, kuiu, firstlite, and Sitka.  Kuiu gear is really nice stuff, all of it!
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I guess I've had the opposite experience of everyone else. I've gotten all my kuiu gear within 3 days of ordering it. I like everything that I have so far and it has lasted a lot longer then my Sitka and core4 stuff that keeps falling apart. I will say first lites wool is way better than kuius or anyone else's for that matter, but I prefer my kenai puffy over the terrible zippers on first lites puffy. Just got a Yukon jacket during the sale last week and it fits good and I am already putting it to the test.

exo, stone glacier, kifaru, kuiu, mystery ranch, can't really go wrong on any of those packs though.

Not to waken the dead, but Im going to be using this thread for reference on hopefully soon to be purchases, Memorial day is offering 20% off checkout over 300$ which is easy to meet.
I like my kifaru back, thinking im gonna run Kuiu for my clothing. Just picked up a brand new pair of Yukon rain paints for 130$, cant beat that price. So ill be running those with yet to be decided layers under them.
Probably pick up some attack pants, seems to be everyone's favorite.. I stomp alot of tall wett grass so I figured the Yukons and some gaitors will do well.

The newer Attack pants with the side vents are my favorites, though they could have deeper front pockets.

The Nuyarn merino stuff is all they claim it to be.  I wish they'd come up with their own boxer briefs.

I like the gaiters for the most part, but the little fold/clamp buckle on the top was evidently a short sighted cool-guy BS afterthought and should be replaced immediately by a good seamstress with a high quality Fastex male/female clip together buckle design.  Trust me on that one!

They do have they're own boxer briefs, they just came out with them this year. Extra thick double cuffed legs so they dont ride up.

I got the Yukon Rain Jacket which is awesome and definitely holds out the rain/snow.  I use it as my outer layer on cold mornings, but generally it is in my backpack for rain/snow.  Because that Jacket is a little heavier than any rain jacket i've used in the past, i opted to not buy the guide jacket since the Yukon could double as both with a good base layer.  I normally use the Kenai insulated jacket under the Yukon if its cold, otherwise just use the Kenai as my everyday outer layer on mild temp days with a light under layer.  I purchased a peloton full zip as well and love it as a mid layer.

I also have the guide gloves which work well on mild temp days when you need a little extra to keep the hands warm, otherwise i use the Northstar glove which is warm and holds out the water.

I also have the Chugach rain pants which are cheaper and probably just as good as the Yukon rain pants. After owning the merino wool zip off bottoms, i would opt and get something better for the price.

I think the gear is as good as Sitka, and cheaper.  Definitely worth being comfortable hunting in bad conditions.  Too many years of being cold/wet made me pony up the money for a better hunting experience.

Yes, I saw those and should have clarified.  I want to see KUIU come out with Merino boxer briefs.  I don't care what's on it, plastic in the pits and crotch is a recipe for smelling like rotting corpse after a couple days of backpack hunting.

at 2:15 He cover's why he chose the material he did over merino. Seems he has no plans of ever running merino for boxer briefs.

I just got my two pair of briefs in, they are extremely comfortable around the house. Gonna do a 5+ miler tomorrow to test them out. As a side note Exofficio boxers are synthetic, comfortable and well liked. Both should dry fast so giving them a quick scrub and air dry should be no problem.

OK did my test hike with these today. Holy cow, going to purchase a couple more pairs. Overall impression, awesome fit, max comfort, and outstanding wicking ability. Got back to the trailhead and was dry. Wore me Exo's last weekend and head to head the Kuiu's win. Also I pushed it today a little. Added 50#'s to increase the calorie burn.
