Multi season question
« on: August 31, 2015, 02:03:39 AM »
So from my understanding in Washington you are only permitted to hunt one season ( bow, rifle, or muzzy ) Unless you are drawn for a Multi season permit? Or can you say, buy an archery permit with your deer tag and if the tag isn't filled buy a muzzleloader permit? Thanks for the help

One tag per person, with one weapon choice, and go with that weapons season(s).  You can draw a multi season tag like you mentioned, but if you don't draw it and buy it, you are restricted to one weapon, and its associated season(s).  You can also draw a second deer permit, but it is also for the weapon your primary tag is for.

You cannot buy an archery tag, not fill it, then buy and or hunt any other season.

You can buy a muzzy tag and shoot archery during muzzy season, or buy a rifle tag and shoot muzzy or archery during rifle season.  But you also have to wear orange and abide by that seasons regs and dates.  Confused yet?  Welcome to Washington!

If you weren't drawn for the multiseason permit, but applied for it (in the same season), you can buy one over the counter.  I don't know how many (if any are left for deer).  Also, don't know if there is any deadline for OTC--but since season opens tomorrow might try to find out from WDFW today.

They sold out after 2 or 3 days. Regardless; you would have to buy one before the season starts.
