I dug through the freezer a bit tonight and did find a few packages of steaks, some from 2013.   :o  So I guess we're not quite as low on meat as I had thought. But still, it will be nice to put a couple deer and antelope in the freezer in a couple weeks when we get back from Wyoming. I'm really hoping to put an elk in the freezer, or at least a half an elk. That would give us enough extra so that we could experiment with some different sausage recipes this year.

Got maybe 10 1lb packages of bear Italian sausage left of the bear my wife shot last year. Got a deer cape and a bear in there also. Maybe 8 packs of Girl Scout cookies also. Other than that my standing freezer is almost empty. I drew a peaches bull tag this year and my wife drew a Palouse buck tag. Hopefully by thanksgiving I can say I have too much meat in my freezer :chuckle:

Were out, and have been for a month or 2. I havent got a buck for 2 years straight. my son has been supplying the venison, and I did get a bear last year. We seem to eat them up quicker every year. I might be a little less picky this year, but I won't know until im in the moment. :chuckle:

Not any more. :chuckle:

I was out of steaks by March. I'm down to about 5 lbs of burger and probably a dozen trout and bass in the game freezer. If it's made of meat (and doesn't get chased off by a coyote again :'( ) it is getting put in the freezer.

Free to a good home. 1 upright freezer that had fresh frozen salmon, beef and venison. Just pick up. It's is only 4 years old. Should be able to change 1 part and have another perfectly good freezer.

Nope....   8)  I'll probably give most of my elk away, if I get one.
Note to self: Become good friends with lokidog before elk season.

I'm about out of deer, elk and beef but have a TON of salmon and steelhead left.  It's too bad that I don't eat salmon or steelhead.  Depending on how my daughter's and my hunting seasons go I might be putting her Grand Champion steer in the freezer before she can market sale it in the spring.  :chuckle:

Mine is close to empty of game meat.  I didn't get an animal last year.

Mines empty other than a couple salmon. Didn't get a deer last year. But I have a second deer tag this season so the first nice doe I see is getting a dirt nap, then I'll hunt for a buck.

With some luck I'll put an elk in the freezer in a week and a half.

My freezer has plenty of meat left.  I have been eating elk steaks and deer steaks from last year twice a day but can't make it go away fast enough.  My "concern" is I will take a bull in early season  :chuckle:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
