Funny thing is the other guy that drew the east side incentive tag is also from tri cities.  He works with me out at hanford.  I'm hoping to join him in his hunt for a stud buck this fall.

Congratulations on an awesome opportunity.  With a tag like that it would be hard to decide where to focus your efforts. I'd pick a spot I had some knowledge of and that has animals with the characteristics I like and spend my time there. Wherever you end up, I hope it's a great experience and that you have a successful hunt.

Boy, tough life for you!  Having experience in both the Desert unit and the Entiat, I think I would try both.  The Desert unit will be perfect for you the first couple weeks of November.  No other hunts going on at that time, so you can hunt with any weapon.  The Entiat is good at that time, but is better once the snow piles up in the high country and the big bucks move down.  Either way, expect to cover some ground!  Good luck and post some pics

Gmu's not allowed to hunt are
Eastern Washington 157
Western Washington 418, 485, 490, and 522

Nooksack isn't open for the tag? That's interesting.

It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. Enjoy it

That's lame, now I don't want the incentive tag.  :)
...no I still do.  But I'd be really bummed not to be able to hunt Nooksack.

He said they split the 5 statewide deer tags and award 3 to west side folks and 2 to Eastside folks to try and spread the award evenly across the statewide population......my interpretation anyhow.

Have you started hunting this tag yet? Any news? Any results? I don't care about tag bs (as long as you have a WDFW issued tag), I care about hunting deer!
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

No I haven't I have a few people that are in the hills daily that have been scouting and we talk daily in the next week we will start to hit it hard until the tag is filled or through end of December will be focusing on the Canadian migration.

Have you filled your tag yet? How's the hunt going? Clint (the other incentive tag holder) and myself are making a trip up north next week. Hopefully we can drop a monster.
