just around the corner!
« on: September 22, 2015, 03:51:54 PM »
So Ms. Elkboy (the far better half of the team) is hunting under my license this year via the Hunter Education Deferral program.  She has been shooting with me for three months now, and she is a pretty deadly shot, I must say (her first three shots from a bench at 40 yards filled a nice little 1.5" circle at the top of the 10-ring).  Our last session was on Saturday, and I set her up in a tree stand just two feet above the ground.  She put 3/3 shots into the vitals of a half-scale deer target at 45 yards down a draw.  I am thinking that the whitetailed deer will have one more challenge this season!  Her deer tag is in the mail... it's getting real!

Good luck to all of you great folks this muzzy season!  -Elkboy

Looks to me like someone on the Dynamic Duo is going to bring home the bacon this season.  But your job is still important since you would be considered the support staff  :) :) :)
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Haha, that's absolutely right, Sabot, and I bet the biggest buck I've ever seen is going to prance up to her broadside at twenty yards and stare at me defiantly as SHE puts a Bloodline right through the boiler room! ;)

I can't wait!  :)

Lol I thought this thread was going to be where she ask how much further to we get there and you would say just around the corner. :chuckle:
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

One day you need to cross the border and come over here and do some shooting at the farm!  Then you could get as good as she is!  :chuckle: :chuckle:
