Hunting an old homestead in NW of ND.
cut some fresh tracks in a morning snow

my dog started acting birdy and lock up and flushed a nice rooster and boom down he goes..

looked around and dog was standing on the edge of old foundation. i looked and saw bird below

hmmmm how to retrieve this guy? dropped into an old foundation

too much old sharp sheet metal so i dropped down and picked it up. dog seemed perplexed :chuckle:

Smart dog not to go in there!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
