Any blacktail success this season?
« on: September 26, 2007, 09:22:08 AM »
I have only seen does. Stumbled on some recently used beds yesterday and fresh droppings. Still have not seen the bucks in the area I am trolling.

Anyone get any?

I went out one day and saw a few does. My brother went out a couple days and got this blacktail. My brother and my father had been scouting a couple bucks with trail cams and a couple days into the season he got this one.

Nice blackie, private lands, timber co, or State ground? I'm hoping this year will be better than forecasted for my area.

"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Nice to know folks with private land. I own a piece with a few other's in an assn. near Mossyrock, though we don't allow hunting on it, we've had some buck's in the past hanging out. Makes me drool in the fall .

I almost stepped on a shooter buck tonight while moving into position on a 400+ pound bear... result? The deer scared the bear... :bash:

I go home empty handed and mad!

Im going after both tomorrow!
