I been wanting to build some coyote traps. I'm thinking 4w 4t 6L.
I've been thinking about building one large like that as well. I think that might a game changer for catching yotes but I know I will have end catching cougars too. Letting one of them go doesn't sound like fun.  :yike:
most cougar would rather run than fight ime
True, but it would still be a freaky as hell being that close.

Nice cat! Congratulations.  I think he's an old guy too (black on his nose).
Thanks old mean one. Trashed the trap, but worth it.

Nothing today but I placed a new muskrat trap out tonight. Was walking out in some cattails by a pond and the area blow up with beaver slapping the water. At least 3 nice ones I will pull the one trap I have in the woods and place it here. Inhave to get tabs for the little boat trailer and take it out in the pond. This way no one can see my trap. I will be glad when I have more beaver traps. Trying to finish at least 6 traps and 2 more bobcat traps.

:bash: wow I thought someone stole my beaver trap. It was gone.  :dunno: I used my bino's and found her. Some how the cattail island spun 180 degrees so my trap is facing the road on the south side. Crazy  The island is half the size of a house. Hmmmmmm The beavers must be busy moving logs, because theres logs all other the pond that weren't  there yesturday. I think the beaver grabbed the trap is hooked to and spun the cattail island around. Crazy how strang they are. If I don't caught one tonight. I will move the trap to log hut or is that to close?

:yike: Not again, but at least it is something. :chuckle: :chuckle: I am starting to get use to the smell.  :dunno: fur is fur and I will use the his sent as a long range lure so I :hunter: and  :beatdeadhorse:. Funny thing is I caught the skunk in the trap and it smelled bad. Then caught the bobcat in the same trap. Remove that trap and place the big trap there to repair the damage the cat did. Caught another skunk in the same spot as the cat. Reset and hoping a cat will come to the skunk smell. Might use his body in my next set after I skin him. Was thinking of milking the stank out in my long range lure jar. Also had a  :bdid:  thinking of a selfee but I wasn't going to push it. Lol

Changed things up on the beaver set. Placed new caster lure and mixed things up by placing muskrat bait/lure. Hope the new stuff works also rebroke the dam and placed the same 2 lures on a log by the brake. Maybe the beavers will smell the lure by the dam and get use to it. Then let there guard down to check the den trap. Will see :dunno:

This is the hut and the dam is 100 yards away. I also have 2 muskrat traps but nothing. Hmmmmm Wish I could trap closer to the dam but not possible. I did find a good up right log that I could hang the trap off, but I will give it a few more days. Flooding all over right now. The last picture was the first spot I had the trap, but the cattail island was moving all over the place and ever day I had a heck of a time finding the trap. Lol So I set up on there den.

:yike: Moved 1 cat trap and set 2 swim thru traps. Was driving out and a big mink cross the road. Then about 70 yards later a big bobcat was trotting way then hopped off into the swamp. I did a U-turn and pulled the 1 trap I just moved. Placed it across the road about 60 yards in. Hope the big guy is there tomorrow. I will place 2 more traps where the mink crossed on both sides of the road. Hope I get them both.   :IBCOOL:
