Shed dogs and tracking collars
« on: February 27, 2016, 12:03:14 PM »
Im looking to see how many of you use dogs to shed hunt and out of those how many of you use tracking collars? Im training my 3 year old lab pinga right now and although she is chipped i think having a gps tracking collar like a garmin astro or alpha would be a worthy investment. Any input would be appreciated. Tia

I have not used my dog for shed hunting yet but I use the Garmin alpha on him while upland hunting and waterfowl hunting. Its a great collar and piece of Mind knowing where the dog is. You can also get a chip for the GPS that tells you land ownership.
