Upper owyhee rifle deer tag

Drew the upper owyhee rifle deer tag in Idaho nov. 1-24. Just curious if anyone has drew this tag and is willing to share some info. Pretty pumped! Big bucks!!!!!

Wow! Congrats, never been on the Idaho side, I do know as you do there are some chubby bucks in that area! I am hoping one day to pull one of those tags!

Which unit is that?  I've hunted unit 42, so I can give you some info if it is in that unit.

It's in unit 41, just north of 42 if I'm not mistaken

Talk to as many previous tag holders as possible so you can set you expectations appropriately.   I know some dang good mule deer hunters who have set themselves up for disappointment on the 41 hunt.  It's a bit different than 40 or even 42.

I archery hunted 40 last year and saw some great bucks. I am sure the genetics are similar, but it may be different habitat.  I was there in August and the bucks were bached up; they obviously will not be in Novemeber. I'd say if you're seeing does, you're in the right area.
