Early season pants on a budget
« on: June 26, 2016, 05:40:17 AM »
Looking to pick up a pair or two more pants for early archery season and wondering what you guys like? Not real picky, just want something durable and that won't break the bank.

For early archery I've been getting cabelas supertec pants.  Very lightweight, quiet, and comfortable.  I see them on sale all the time.  http://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-SUPERTEC-II-SIX-POCKET-PANTS/1931265.uts?searchPath=%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FcategoryId%3D734095080%26CQ_search%3D961920%26CQ_st%3Db

Buy them a little larger then you normally would though.

I buy the same style chinese made ones at walmart. $12.88 and they are super light weight. I would rather buy a new pair each year then drop 200 plus on the top brands. That's just me though.

Bass pro has some with large cargo pockets that are pretty reasonable.

May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

$24.88 for those Cabela's pants is a good price.  At that price point pants become almost disposable items.

Prana zions are a nice hiking/climbing pant that would work well for early season hunting and they wont break the bank. They dont make them in camo though. If you shop around online for them you can find some pretty good deals. Picked up a pair for hiking this summer and ive really liked them.

Wish they made tall sizes.

I just bought some KUHL hippy pants at the REI. For being hippy clothes, they are darn comfortable and great in the heat. $75

I have had great luck with cabelas microtex pants. For a "hunting" pant. Durable, nice pocket setup, and quiet.

Im curious how long you've had yours. When I looked at the reviews at the cabelas site, it looked like they've changed in the fit and possibly fabric quality ( and not for the better).
