Leather Seat Covers
« on: July 23, 2016, 01:07:51 PM »
Does anyone have any experience replacing leather seat covers in a Dodge truck?  I am needing to replace the cheap leather covers in my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500.  I have found some on line but wondering if anyone has any experience doing this before?
I know back when I was searching for this truck I found a couple of trucks that had everything I wanted for options except leather interior. A couple of different dealers said they could get it changed over to leather interior for under $1000.00 .  I really need drivers and passenger front seats, the back seat is in new condition.

Thanks

I replaced the leather on my 2000 GMC. It was actually pretty easy. I'm not sure about the dodge, but there were videos for the GMC on YouTube. If the seats are worn, change the foam while the cover is off. I would do it again. Took me about an hour each seat. I only did the bottoms as that is all that was worn.

I ordered them from theseatshop.com but there are several upholstery shops online you can contact. I called them with my vin and told them what I needed.

Leather seats.com has a 3 gen ram kit.  Looks exactly like stock with the ram emblem and everything.  Can be customized as well. I used the kit in my 06.  With seat heater kit it was around $1200. I think the leather alone was $800ish.
Really easy install.  Took the wife and I about 4 hours to do everything.  No special tools needed.  Just a stapler for the console top.
Sold the old cloth covers for $300.
