Should I get this trail camera?
« on: July 28, 2016, 06:12:58 PM »
I'm looking into getting another trail camera soon and I was wondering what your guys' thoughts are on this stealth cam. Has anyone used these before? Are they water resistant/durible/good quality?

Bought a pair of stealth p14's.  Not impressed, 5sec response time, if it even sees movement.  I would only recommend for use over a bait pile or in a place animal stay in and mill around a while.  Decent unit to setup, nice options for images, burst, vid, easy dial selector.  But sensitivity/react time is terrible.

Cheap primos easy cam works better.  No video, and pita to set time/date, but functionally better if you want to capture anything moving down a trail..  Found some for $25 on ebay, wish I had grabbed more.

:yeah: I have 4 of the 6's and 8's. If I got more I would go with the 10mp tho. I like having them on video mode and there is a significant difference between the 10 and 8. 10 will do 1080 video, 8 and 6 is 720.

Dont remember what model the stealth cams were but they were the ones Costco was selling. The Moultries I'm running are the older D-55IR xt and they have worked flawlessly since I got the a few years ago.

Go with the Bushnell Aggressor and you'll be a Bushnell guy.  It's a good cam, fast wake up/shutter speed, takes good pictures/video/hybrid.  Easy to set up and easy on batteries.  Run lithiums in whatever you get.
