Observatory Rifle Bull: disabled hunter
« on: August 27, 2016, 11:25:03 AM »
My 69 year old uncle has drawn the Observatory Bull tag and is a disabled hunter. We have been scouting our usual areas and seeing decent bulls however nothing big or in great numbers. I plan on scouting a lot more in Sept and into Oct prior to season. I am not looking for your secret spot by any means but general areas and how to scout that particular area. I am hoping to find him a great bull as it may be his last considering how "easy" it is to draw tags in this state. Thank for the advice and help. Good luck this season.
If you can see it....... you can shoot it.

I will be in the area for archery bull and for muzzleloader cow with my daughter. I will fill you in on what's going on after the hunts.

It's the rifle bull tag that is oct 24 til the end of general elk... He can walk if that's what you asking. However the distance is limited due to a pretty severe back injury. He lives for elk hunting and is looking for one last good bull... We have plenty of young strong backs to pack it out if he shoots one in a hole. I appreciate the information and am pretty sure my neck is swelling for elk season.
