WDFW's Unsworth On NW Wild Country
« on: September 19, 2016, 10:02:13 PM »
On my way to a soccer game Saturday morning I was listening to one of those morning outdoor shows, can't remember which, but Unsworth was on. The shows host asked him why we were shut down to fishing yet the Indians were out their netting, when it had been agreed upon by both sides that there would be no fishing on either side.

Well after Unsworth did his best Obama impression by talking for minutes on end but never answering the question, the host asked him again. This time Unsworth said, and I still can't believe he said this, "It's all based on models, and one thing I know is models are always wrong......but don't get me wrong, I have faith in them." :o

Seriously? This is the man in charge?

I know another screwed up wildlife program that he could've been talking about with the same language.

 :yeah:

Just another spineless politician wanting to keep his position. Kinda makes ya wonder who he's working for? Not us that is for sure. It is finally over for the white fisherman. We better get used to buying salmon from the store.

I wonder how much casino money has bought him off too?

He's skirting issues and not answering the questions. Typical politian type answers.

Has plenty of faith in the 10% increase in license sales next year, though.

Listened to the Podcast on IHeart. Ya  he sounds like a real nice guy. Way into fishing and hunting himself. But there's the Politician factor and it is HUGE!!!!!!! He commented on the Wolfs and said they were not transplanted but came into WA on there own from BC and ID. I agree with PHOOLS Obama statement. Talking in circles.......... I hope he makes something better before he leaves?????

With the way the Commission works and appointments by the Goobernators go in this state, I've come to expect little more than a political puppet at the head of WDFW.

Bern Shanks tried to do the right thing and create some positive change and look what happened to him.

Sad, really.
