I'm headed up to 117 this year, packing the truck tomorrow, taking a 1/2 day from work Thursday so I can get camp set in daylight (hopefully).
First time hunting the general season, normally just hunt late.

I saw about 6 rigs out in the woods today.  Pretty busy for mid-week.

Muzzleloader every year. I typically spend a week at my cabin on Mt. Hull hunting muleys and whitetails. There is plenty of good hunting on public land around Tonasket. This year I drew a quality buck tag for the desert unit so that is where I will be. .

kicked around whether to go muzzleloader again or do modern this year, but with the limited time i've been out to find places that aren't charging for access now, i've decided to stick with the smoke pole as i've got a decent area in 501 for ML season.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I'll be out as a weekend warrior, mainly for elk though. I do have a deer tag to but my focus will be elk in the Yakima area.

I'm packing up the Jeep tonight and tomorrow then heading up around 101 and 105 as soon as I get off work Friday. Ill be out for deer but hoping I run across a black bear. I took Monday and Tuesday off work so I'm hoping in four days I will get into some decent hunting or at least some good scouting for the late season. I have never hunted that area, mainly the wet side and south east part of the state so its going to be a learning experience. Hoping for a nice muley but I haven't taken a whitetail yet so if the opportunity presents itself ill pull the trigger.

Hunting whitetail here in Whitman County.  The does got hit hard by bluetongue virus in the last two years, so I am going to pass on them.  The deer must have antlers to get a ride home with me this year!

Wound up going to a spot the other side of the mtns, hiked around all weekend, just does. Woods were alot more quiet this year than last. Now it's stuck at home for blacktail
