My inboard jets take me anywhere I would ever need to go in a boat! :brew: :brew:

Sakko300wsm, is your stick steer set up this type?

Nope not like that left hook - that one is the Precision Weld model. Mine is more like all of the idaho styled boats

I will tell you my 23ft Offshore Wooldridge rides better than any other aluminum in the same size category.    The best thing about it is the huge dance floor, room for five guys to tangle Halibut or Salmon without problems.  Especially nice on summer Sturgeon days to throw three lawn chairs on and enjoy the day..   Now, I find my boat way too small for what I like to do now - TUNA, so upgrading to something in the 28-29ft range - soon.......  Not sure what yet, as my mind flips back and forth daily....

Test ride all of them, run them through crappy water to see what handles best for you.

I looked at those as well, there's some really great competition in that size boat.  Hewes, Duckworth and North River all have some great offerings there.  If that's the range of boat anyone is looking at, I couldn't recommend strongly enough to go see all three and climb around on them or hopefully get a ride in them and see what you think.

We decided on the Duckworth 22 Pacific Pro, and I love it.  Top notch fit and finish, and it rides better than I could have hoped an aluminum boat that size could.  It's IMO more than capable of handling whatever conditions I would want to in the sound and out to Neah Bay, but still small enough for trout fishing and such.

I don't think you can make a bad choice between the 3 manufacturers, it just depends on what features are important to you.

The absolute best place to buy a Hewes is at Clarks All Sports in Colville. Talk to Gary, the owner. There is no shipping because he gets them from the factory himself. I knew the shipping boss at Hewes and have seen inside the factory. Very, very nice boats. I've never owned a big boat, but a Hewes is what I'd go for just because of how they were explained to me how they are built for Alaskan waters.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
