Sorry to hear that!  Scum lower than the fungus that feeds on pond scum!  That's it I am ordering the camera system.

You certainly get my sympathies, nothing worse than that feeling after you've been burglarized.  Not saying you did, but I'm always surprised when people I really don't know very well tell me how many and the types of guns they own.  While I'm certainly not shy about telling people I love to hunt, I'm very cautious about talking about how many or what type of guns I own.  Too me it's kind of like telling people you keep a lot of cash in your home. Record those SN's and doesn't hurt to even snap photos for safe keeping.  Best of luck recovering your losses!!!

I will keep a eye out as well. Not to often a python pops up that I don't find. Also the safe type and brand might help. I can see them throwing it on CL trying to get a few more bucks and most safes have serial numbers as well. Even though most scum wont think that and could lead you back to the thieves.

Man, I hate to hear about this crap.  There is nothing worse than a thief, especially one that comes onto your property and into your home.  I hope the pieces of garbage get caught (no reason they wouldn't with the quantity of stolen items they will try to sell); the odds are not in their favor.  My thoughts are with you and your family through these trying times.

Such a bummer. I hate theifs. Agree with some sounds like someone knew what you had. Sell anything lately, garage sales, extended family drug addicts?... The safe will probably turn up in a ditch soon because they will beat the heck out of it to get it open. Hope the losers get caught.

No to pour salt on a wound, but, was the safe bolted down?

My safe is very heavy, but bolting it down made for a little extra insurance that it won't be removed by thieves.
It also keeps it from being tipped over and opened with pry-bars.
if you search youtube for videos on safe crackers, you'll see that's a common way for some safes to be opened.

I bolted mine to the concrete floor with 6 bolts.  Not budging!  No way to cut bolts!

I helped bolt a friends down using steal angle iron below his floor joists in the crawl space, using 6 long bolts covered in black iron pipe that is loose.  The loose pipe spins making it harder to cut.  Carriage bolts were used, then welded to the angle iron.
Probably overkill, but he felt better with the added assurance.  Fun project too.

I saw this article a few moments ago and thought it might have a chance of being related.
Wouldn't that be something
I hope when they get the warrant for the car they pop the trunk and find the OP's guns, that would be awesome.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

They haven't caught anyone yet.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
