My wife got a really nice Bobby !!
« on: December 18, 2016, 08:54:30 PM »
Well this deer season was crazy ! Seen lots of game ! About 11 am
One morning we pulled up on a clearcut and was about to a landing I was wanting to glass while deer hunting and as we pull up I see something in the ditch and it runs up on a log pile !! BOBCAT !!! I told her to hurry up and shoot it ! She nails him
Off hand at about 30 yrds ! After all the excitement I run over there and there he lay ! After I pick him up
And toss him
To her over a log , she says what is this ??  It was a deer ear sticking up out of some grass !!  After inspection I find a huge buck with the horns cut off and the hind quarters and backstraps removed !!!! Someone poached him
!!! Just makes me sick when your hunting your tail off in an area and find this !! It was a huge bodied buck and the bobcat had it covered in grass !!!!! That's only reason he stayed there for the shot !

Awesome cat. I assume you reported the poaching, BH. That really sucks.

Yes we let them
Know about the poaching ! Between me and a friend we found 3 different cases of poaching in one area ! All behind locked gates !!! The other 2 my buddy found ! Really is pothedic when your hunting an area where you know there are big bucks and you hunt everyday knowing he may pop out at anytime and someone is popping them at night while your asleep !!!! And those deer u think u might see the next day are already dead !!!

How do we know it's a poaching, people are doing a lot of gutless, but still not right they should of took more meat, that's waste of wildlife ,sorry to hear, and yes I know as it's against the law too.
I rather piss in the wind, then have piss down my back.
