Looks like at least two more snow days for the kids.   >:(     Just shy of 4" here, but still coming fast.

Drove back from Longview last night, hit the snowstorm on way home.  Shoveled a path to the mailbox this morning.  All the slop under the dry snow.  Road is compact snow/ice.  Worst roads I've seen here.  Wife took off work and brought sick grandkids home.  I'm ready for a drink already.

1 foot here. The whole town is freaking out. I'm loving it. Empty roads in the Jeep.

We had 4 or 5 flakes, and people are driving around like its the day after the apocalypse.  It is King County, though.

Yes, and this will spell trouble for the Yakima.  I'm hoping it's not a repeat of 96'.

I saw the same thing-talked about it  with kids yesterday-the one day we went to school this week.  I believe there's more snow on the ground in the lowlands.  Could make for interesting times.

Man, I'd love to send this north.  There's a cloud from hell circling Cowlitz Co. even now.  It stopped snowing almost everywhere but here today, all while it was 34 degrees.  Just for the hell of it, I shoveled the driveway and knocked the snow off the windshields so we were still quickly operational if necessary.  It is supposed to drop to the teens or low twenties tonight so I felt like getting that wet stuff out of the way before it turned to stone later on might be a good idea.

As predicted, the kids have their sixth snow day of the year tomorrow.   >:( >:( >:(  I remember when we used to stay out all day in the snow, only stopping long enough to change clothes and warm up.  The little monsters are happy just sitting in front of the fireplace playing with electronic devices.  The good news, this snow should all be gone by Sunday.  :bash:

Just got back home from taking my wife to work, 5 South had a lot of semi's putting chains on parked in the right lane starting around Ridgefield. Road was touch packed snow. Oregon is requiring chains on all vehicles. Good day to stay home and stay away from the unprepared people.

Is it too early for a drink?  :chuckle:
too early for a drink?  hell its your day off and as my motto goes days off or vacation time is arbitrary--AKA it doesn't matter (unless of course you have to pick your bride up from work  :'( )

Here's a shot from the drone..... Tuesday evening with about 2-3 inches on the ground, location is vancouver, orchards area about 200ft up. Managed to snap a few photos before the blowing wet snow hit my lens and blocked the camera partially. It was however actively blowing large wet flakes despite what the picture shows.

The Yakima is frozen in the tricities too, probably everywhere along the way too. We're expecting flooding too.  Cabin fever has been rough here too; with the single digit temperatures its hard to get motivated to leave, but tough to stay cooped up so long.  :P I organized the pantry and freezer today and moved some furniture.  :dunno:
