New licensing system issue
« on: January 09, 2017, 10:18:28 PM »
Tried to purchase all my licenses and tags for 2017 and the new system won't allow me to select them.  Says they do not jive with my current licenses (2016).  Website says I can buy my new stuff starting in Dec.  Anyone else running into this issue?

Probably have to wait for the 2016 to actually expire.

But I've never tried to buy this early either.

I always buy early and their website says 2017 available Dec 1, 2017.

There's like 400 of these threads on here about similar issues with the website. Allegedly, the WDFW is working on the issues at hand. Allegedly.

I know it's going to take some getting used to but I fricking hate the new system.  Last thing I need is another password to remember for God's sake.   :bash:

I was told by the folks at the licensing desk that there will be a press release issued on the 18th with further info about 2017 license sales.  :twocents:

The functionality to do so isn't in the new system yet.

Have you heard of an ETA or is it just TBD at this point?

Mid to late January is the rumor. The deadline to apply for MS is March 31 so there's still plenty of time for them.

Think I'll sit it out and not even try to register.  Is that too far off the grid?
Why in the hell should I have to press 1 for English?

The deadline to apply for Multi-Season is March 31. The regular 2017 application period doesn't start until mid April. If there's an urgent need to do something before then, Licensing can help.

I try to space out my hunting purchases throughout the year.  Getting tags done as early as possible helps.

I think most of the functionality will be in the new system before the end of January.

Maybe but I don't think we'll see the increases until July 1st.

why not do it now?  Some of us put in countless applications across the west and Alaska and like to get em in and done as they come instead of letting them snowball at the last minute.

If you wanna troll a thread and try and stir up debate, start your own.  I do not want or invite your antics here, just looking for info

Antics? Trolling a thread? Debate? Wow you're just a little over sensitive I'd say.  Was just a simple question that sure wasn't meant to start a debate. I usually buy my stuff pretty early but the thought of buying 2017 licenses hasn't even crossed my mind yet. Thus, the question.

I really don't care if you invited me to post in "your" thread.
