Man, I miss going. Wish it wasn't the first weekend in June. That's my twin boys birthday.  EVERY YEAR.... :-(

How big of a boat can you launch and retrieve for this fishery?  I've never fished for cats  but might come over for a long weekend and try it out.  I have a 21' Campion walk around with a suzuki 225 on the back.

You can easily launch boats sizing from a canoe to 45 foot cabin cruisers to whatever else. You'll be fine. The tricky part will be the mud flats but with your 225, hammer down, full throttle and hold on. You'll make it through fine.

My fear is not making the mud flats.  But the boat does 50mph.  I will have to check my schedule and see if i can round up a buddy or two for the trip.

Your power and your speed you'll have no issues and won't mess anything up. Might slow your speed barely dragging in mud, but seriously, you'll have no issues and you won't mess up anything on your boat, even if you do hit  it's just mud. I cut through mud with my 90 full throttle on my 18'6" boat and have never not made it through. Have no fears, though it is intimidating the first couple of times and then again the first time in the dark.

Pedal to the metal and hold on. Also recommend sun glasses as well as maybe clear glasses for at night to keep the bugs outta your eyes

I've never found one and have run full speed prop 90 all over that mud. I've seen a stick, but it sticks out of the water, so mark it on the gps during daylight. It's just knee deep fluff mud with 10-18 inches of water covering it.

the rocks are quite a ways up stream from the fishing holes, just don't try and make it to the falls, I've had to go up and help tow a friend down from there.
