Winter Rendezvous schedule revisions
« on: February 12, 2017, 09:18:53 PM »
I had to make a few changes in the schedule because Dan Boes has to leave early. Moved him up to the morning and juggled the rest of the schedule.

Winter Rendezvous/Fur Sale Schedule, March 11

7:00 AM, Set up
8:00 AM, Doors open
There will be a $5.00 entrance fee this year that will enter you in a drawing for a door prize. Be sure and get your auction numbers when signing in.

Fur buyers will be given tables to buy fur and will operate all day. Same with NAFA pick up.
CITES tagging will take place only in the morning by Steve Brownel
9:00 AM, Otter skinning and put up demo
10:00 AM, Dan Boes, WDFW Hunters Education, shows new Trappers Ed Power Point presentation
11:00, Dispatching animals. Mark Wagoner, Sexing and cervical dislocation of marten, Gary Dahl, gassing with CO2, Chuck Van Dyke, Skunk pole injection, Bernie Nelson choke poles for bobcats
1:00 PM Lunch provided for a small charge
We will hold our membership meeting during lunch so sit down and enjoy your lunch while we talk about WSTA
1:30 PM Miss Rodeo fur garment presentation
1:45 PM, Angelique Curtis, WDFW Furbearer Section Manager
2:00 PM, Auction starts
Please remember to bring some good stuff you are no longer using to donate for the auction. The auctions are our main fund-raiser to keep the organization going.
5:00 PM Otter trapping with Swimthroughs (Time permitting)
Audience Participation encouraged
6:00 PM clean up. We need to be gone by 7:00PM to avoid additional charges so clean up help is appreciated.

Directions for the Winter Rendezvous/Fur Sale
Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds
32 Elma-Mcleary RD
Elma Wa 98541

From I-5, north or south, take exit 104, (SR8). Follow the signs toward Aberdeen for 25.8 miles to Fairgrounds road, turn right for one half mile and turn right on Elma-McCleary road. The fairgrounds are on your right.

Bring your beaver tails and any antlers you have kicking around. They might not do you much good but we can use them to finance WSTA.

A good item  donated for our auction is very much appreciated. We depend on our auctions to provide the bulk of the funds to run WSTA.
Hope to see you there.

Bruce, It was a $10.00 entry fee, did you forget or you dropped it down to $5.00 ?  :dunno:
$10.00 that's pretty cheap for what your going to get out of it just in Demo's alone.

1:00 PM Lunch provided for a small charge
My daughter (Single woman  great cook ;)  ;)) will be putting on the lunch for you guys.  She will be serving Fresh Homemade Chicken Soup, sandwich and a soda pop or bottle of water for $8.00

For everyone, remember to bring a piece or two of "Fur" for the donation to all programs.  Give them to me or Bruce.
For you guys that committed to the other post and haven't brought the to us, bring them along to the Winter Rendezvous / Fur Sale.

See you all there, we will have a great time
