Ya this will be a tough one for a lot of folks!

 I enjoy all these movements. Castro wasn't lying when he dropped the hint about dumbbell

I do decent on the bar too. That many mu's will wear me down pretty quick though I'm sure!
       I'd be willing to bet castro is getting a pretty good royalty for all the dumbells that rogue sells!

Worst part about bar mu for me was the beating my hands took while learning to do them. If you can, either buy some gymnastic grips or at least borrow some. Taking that out of your mind makes it way easier.

Well I did 17.2 last night. I made it all the way through the MU's  and got another full round of T2B. Finished with 162 reps total. I'm pretty stoked about my performance. I'm not even out of bed yet and I can feel that my glutes and hams are shredded from the lunges too!

I just went to one of my crossfit friend's powerlifting meet. Man there were some beasts there. One guy back squatted 781 lbs. Funny part is I can guarantee 95% of them would die trying to complete a single wod.

Well am I the only one that did it or what??? gave it another go this morning, despite feeling much worse than I did friday I managed to get 12 more reps. finish with 174. I'm pretty happy and I'm fairly certain I wont do any better in any of the next 3 wods.  I predict a heavy barbell in the near future, and that wont be good for me. Hope the rest of you guys get some wods right in your wheelhouse!

I did it Friday and it went exactly as predicted, so I sprinted through the first two sets for a good tie break time of 4:15, then stared at the bar and attempted a half dozen or so BMU attempts.
I have been working on my oly lifting lately... still not where I want it but I got my C&J up to 225 and snatch up to 170.
Only movements I'm still dreading are double unders and handstand pushups

Right on. We had quite a few firsts in our gym this week with both pull ups and muscle ups, its good to see that stuff. Sorry you didnt have a breakthrough.   oh well, on to the next one right? I think were going to see db thrusters before its over with...thats what I'm dreading!

Tomorrow we are redoing 16.4 I'm kinda excited to see what my score compares to last year, even though hspu are still a major weakness for me.

scaled down to 30lb DB's and completed in 16:29

hit 17.2 and it killed me. i did scale on the lunges and power cleans. had to scale to jump pullups instead of muscle ups.

122 reps. damn toes to bar is my enemy.

17.3 in a couple days!

haha thanks man! its fun for sure. my wife coaches at a box type gym here in tacoma so its nice being able to go there and getting rid of our dumb LA fitness memberships.

I definitely chose the wrong year to take off, this is a workout I had the opportunity to do decent at.  Every year is a crapshoot, I am better than average at snatch and average c&j.

The tough part for me I'd going to be focusing on form since power snatch plus an overhead squat are not allowed.

Oh man, this wod is where we seperate the men from the boys...and I'm definitely just a boy.  Did it this morning and made it through the 135 pound snatches and then could'nt even come close on 185lbs.  my one rep max is 175 so I knew I was pretty much screwed.

You did better than me. Only 4 snatches into the second round of 135.
I think I can improve that with a second go and better pacing and tightening up my form.
My 1RM is 170 so I have no delusions of hitting 185.

Ya even 135 was struggle for me.  I paced it out and used every second. I think I hit my last snatch at around the 7:50 Mark. I bet if you really do it you can better your score. This one didn't tear me up like the first two did.
