:) I have been reading about the Sig 320 all day. Think I might have to try one. On Sig site the caliber change kits run $400.00 or so, I think I'd just buy another pistol for $650.00. Frame kits are only $50.00 new barrels $200.00 or so. barrel is sure high in your grip. Champion Arms has them for rent up in Renton/Kent.

Since you already have a 19, I'd stick with the same platform and get the 17. There's an advantage to keeping things the same between guns.
There are some good deals out there on police trade in glocks.

Who has the Glock 17 police trade ins. I would be interested in buying one.

No kidding
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Looks like model 17 trade ins are scarce right now. Plenty of .40cal trade ins available for $350-400. Aim Surplus is out of stock but had used 17's listed for $329.

I did a search for "ex police glocks" it came up with at least 6 sites selling them.

Glock also has a discount on new guns if you're a first responder or retired military.

If you're interested in sticking with glock this may not matter but FWIW the full size m&p 9mm is a great gun my father in law has one as well as others I know and have heard absolutely nothing but great things.

They also just came out with the m&p 2.0 series although I know nothing about this new line.
If I didn't already have other guns to fill the role, I'd buy an M&P. But the full size M&P is more similar to the Glock 19 than the Glock 17. Grabagun has new M&P 9's for $385 right now.

I like the 4th Gen Glock 17 feel in my hand, all of the Glock police trade in's I've seen on the sites are gen 3

I have a LNIB Glock Gen4 17 with the high capacity mags for sale if anyone is interested.  I've put exactly one box through it.  Absolutely nothing wrong with it and it could easily pass as new.  Even though I have a couple Gen4 Glocks, I've come to the realization I'm just not a Glock guy and I much prefer my Sigs.  PM me if you'd like more information or pics.

I just picked up a P320.  I like the way it fits my hand, and being able to order different kits is really nice IMO.

They did a shooting test with the SIG,Glock,Ruger and Springfield. They put as many projectiles in the barrel to simulate a round not completely leaving the barrel. The Glock exploded, as well as the others. The SIG had a small crack. That is with 4-5 projectiles forced down the barrel and a live round sent in right behind it. To simulate being jammed in the ground or mud. I have both and love both. What ever fits is what you should go with. Ususlly there is a reason law enforcement or the military goes with a certain product.

Off topic, but nothing fits my hand or points as natural as an XD tactical.
