« on: March 25, 2017, 02:45:28 PM »
Currently produced 80% reciever I know about are AR 15-10  Ruger 10-22 AK 47 not a glock, 1911

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Why those? Not really what I was expecting. Are there parts kits readily available for them? I'm guessing they are old enough designs that there would be no copyright infringement.

I thought the first suggestion would be an M1.

Many of those haven't been built in many years.  The old ones, as good as they are, tend to be built on steel to lower ksi yields.  The builds I'd want to do are of the models listed.  To me, ARs and M700s are fine but kind of blah.  Add BAR to my list too.

I'd be interested in levers as well, also add the 1895 Winchester to me list. For some reason I'd really like an 1895 SRC in .405, don't think I've ever seen that done before.

ETA: I'd be very interested in a 1941 Johnson LMG build.

How'd I forget the 1895.  I get kind of dreamy thinking about the 95 in .35 whelen for bears.  Winchester used to have a .35 that was close to same performance.

I've been bouncing around a couple of ideas and have been trying to build a comprehensive List of 80% receiver options that are out there. Most of the forums I've seen revolve around a specific style like AR, AK, H&K. Etc.

Does anyone know of a forum that attempts to cover all the different build and types?

I'd like to see the old Daniel Fraser .22 falling block kits back in production.  I know there were some issues with them, but DANG they're good lookin'!

I wouldn't mind seeing an 80% rem 700 clone. Not sure how it'd work but would be cool
