Long beach clam dig???
« on: April 13, 2017, 06:16:48 PM »
Anyone gonna make it out there this weekend? Wishing I had the time to make it this weekend but unfortunately other obligations and easter. Hoping to hear some good success from those that do make it out since this beach is significantly closer than ocan shores and I've been super excited about clam digging since my first time out a few weeks ago.

Yep, me and the wife are loading the girls up in their pajamas Sat morning to head over.  Always a good time, limits are usually easy to come by.  The tides could be better though.

Headed down after work tomorrow, luckily I'm working close by right now (Naselle) so it's a short drive. Fresh razors are on the menu for Easter  ;). And cold beer st the LBT tomorrow night for this guy.

Went down yesterday morning for the opener. Hour early on a .1 tide, had our two limits within 15 minutes. And that was stretching it out. Great sized clams too. Prob b great all weekend. Dig later this month has some good negative tides. Have fun!

That's awesome to hear! Makes me even more envious of everyone that can make it out there this weekend! If you wouldn't mind shooting me a pm too for a good jump off point I would definitely appreciate.  Planning on taking some time off to make the next round of digs at the end of the month out there!

Good luck to everyone this weekend! Hoping to hear good reports!

Had a friend make it out easter sunday and his party of 3 all managed limits of decent sized clams. Any more reports out there?

Heads up... they canceled the April 24th and 25th digs at Long Beach for high toxin levels.

Anyone get out there since the 25 clam limit.  I think it just started yesterday.  I am thinking about maybe tomorrow or Saturday.  I am hoping for tomorrow since I think Saturday is going to be a TON of people.  I was wondering how the sizes have been down there and how it has been trying to get a limit of 25.  Thanks
