When Did People Stop Learning Where The $ Goes?
« on: April 20, 2017, 08:15:36 PM »
I can't believe how many for sale ads or thread posts I see on here and other sites like Craigslist that have people writing 500$ or 250$ you name it I've seen it. Since when did we start moving the $ symbol after the number? $500 and $250

And while I'm at it. If there is more than 2 lanes on a road, you don't have to stop for a school bus if you are on the opposite side of the road. Kids are not allowed to cross more than 2 lanes of traffic to get to the other side so you don't have to stop.

Wow I feel better. Lol

People asking more than new prices for a used item all the time, and your gripe is where they put the dollar sign?

It's 3 lanes not 2. Unless the opposite lanes are divided by a physical barrier, open space, or a median greater than 18", then the number of lanes is irrelevant. And even though it's legal to not stop for the bus, your liable to get run down or run off the road by hysterical women who don't know the law/rules of the road. But that's a different story.

I said more than 2 which means 3 or more correct? Kids are only allowed to cross 2 lanes of traffic. Put a turn lane or median in there and you don't have to stop. I drive a lot and I see it all the time. Drives me bonkers in a non road rage kinda way.

I always understood it as 3 or more. The 4th and more lane can keep going if the bus is stopped.

X2 on the $ simble. Drives me crazy. Lol

Nope, the guys above are correct.  3 lanes going your direction with a median or a solid 18" wide painted line separating traffic means only the side the bus is on stops.  The other direction can keep going.

Sounds like you may be one of those easily irritated people. If this was about the 90% of people on here that can't figure out there, their and they're I would actually understand.

As for the kids, I look at it this way. I'm not required to stop for a deer on the side of the road, but I usually do before it darts out in front of me. Better off to slow down or stop than be the guy that hit kids doing something they're not supposed to be doing.

Nope, a combined three lanes going in either direction, a vehicle approaching the school bus need not stop as long as there is a full traffic lane between that vehicle and the bus.  Now, is a turn lane a "traffic lane"?

Sad really, because I ain't a smart man, but I know the difference...

I just assume the people doing that here in Yakima were the mexican immigrants and don't know any better.

A couple of years ago, I had a copier go down at work and I was on my way out, so I asked one of my employees to put an out of order sign on it for me. I come in the next day and there is a sign on it that says "At Order".  :bash:

Nope, not even close, sorry to say.

Just do a search of the classifieds on here for "for sell" and you will see it isn't limited to Yakima or immigrants...

We had a car salesman fill a 5 gallon bucket full of windshield washer fluid and wash a car with it yesterday.
So there's  that.
Needless to say it's at the detail shop now getting a fresh coat of wax.
