Klickitat gobbler
« on: April 25, 2017, 09:42:26 PM »
Called this nice 2 year old into within 15 yards in an open meadow while laying prone before giving him the axe. I'd been hiking a mile or so from the truck and this one lit up about 200 yards from it on my way back for lunch. 11 to noon seems to be the magic hour for me. Got pretty lucky but I'll take it. He had an 8 inch beard and worn down 1/2" spurs.

yeah you're right, very calm day. Couldn't ask for better turkey hunting weather!

Way to go man. That's a great pic too.

Nice!

Congrats to you!!!
Lord , we've been here on days before
and often times you've let me score
Now do you think that on this day
you could send a gobbler down my way?
And , if not , just let me say--
you've given me another day
to hunt the bird I love the best.
I don't mind sharing with the rest
