Lab's first litter!
« on: May 16, 2017, 04:04:28 PM »
Well my hunting buddy Sadie had her first litter.  First pup was delivered on Mother's Day, the rest waited until the 15th.  It was quite the experience.  I just wanted to get the word out now as I plan to list them in the classified section here in a few weeks.  She had 4 females and 4 males.

Both Dam (my hunting dog Sadie) and Sire are AKC registered labradors.

Dam (Sadie) Below:

Feel free to send PM's with questions about the litter, official listing will go up like I said in a few weeks, just had to show them off!  Pretty excited!

Notice the runt right in the middle of the puppy pile.  She's going to be one smart/tough dog.  Not only is she the runt but also has a small white patch on her chest/neck area.  While not desirable for show dogs it is not uncommon in purebred labs.  She's kinda my favorite right now.  She's figured out to nurse when the rest are sleeping, and her favorite spot is the back nipples between mama's hind legs, they provide her with a little protection from the bigger brothers and sisters lol.

Haha, know exactly what you are going through our lab had pups on Mother's Day as well. We were  BLESSED ( :yike:) with a few more than you though. 7 or 8 would have been perfect! Good luck with those cute little guys.
