Sherman

Just curious if anyone has been out in the Sherman unit bear hunting and how things are looking.  Headed over on Thursday for four days of hunting.  Feel free to PM if you would like.  Looking forward to getting over there!  Thanks.

I was just over there last weekend. A few of us were hiking around looking for sheds. None of us seen any sign of bears around, no poop either. We usually see bears on our cameras by now and we didn't have any. It was very cold and it snowed Saturday night. That was at 3000 feet. I think the weather will start getting better by this weekend.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on the weather and it hasn't been great over there, but does look like it is finally going to get better.  Hopefully next week the bears start coming out.

Sherman pass has a wsdot cam at the summit which can be helpful in gauging the weather.

Yep, been looking at that camera regularly, and hopefully will quit seeing fresh snow!  I think this is finally the end of the white stuff.

Got some intel, the bears are on the move  some family reported seeing several these past 2 days, one big red one too! Ironically, one area a bear was seen was where we were all shed hunting a few weeks ago, that's at 3000 feet.

Sounds like a guy could finally venture in the higher elevations now and have a good chance at seeing something... and maybe not get stuck in the mud either  8)
