We kept smelling onion, never found any though. There is another small succulent up there that smells exactly like onion too. We kept stepping on it and looking for onion until we pulled some and got the smell.

Well that chocolate bear didn't cross my dads path, I still don't regret passing it up.  I'm not here for just any bear but just any bear would be great for my dad since he's never shot one. We have today and tomorrow to try and fill his tag, having a great time but it is hot as heck. I'm hitting the timbered canyons today hoping to chase something out for pops. Thanks for the words and info!

No I can't prove it, but I had a wolf pup 30 yards from me today.  Tried to get my phone out for a pic but he saw me and ran away.  Seemed lost, was calling in a different canyon then came over to the canyon I was in.  Have to say even though I hate wolves, that thing was cute as hell. No bears so far, again it's hot as heck

You'll find them Trophy!  I'd be glassing the edges of thick timbered draws. They may only be out for a bit; but one thing is for sure; they have to eat!

10-4, I found a draw that looks perfect, except it's going to be a real pain if I get one in it.  Now way to get my dad there, might stay till Wednesday.

Good Luck Trophy, we had to leave yesterday but did get to chase some turkeys around.  Wow was it hot out.  Hope action picks up when it cools for you.  Tried to go out Pomeroy road but hit snow in a hurry.  Should be one up that road you camped on at dusk if days cool off.

thanks a bunch, yeah that snow is always blocking there, It's pretty nice up that rd, especially since it looks like no one has been there. I'm in a hell of a spot today, but it's going to kill me getting one out.

How far could you get up the road, to Low Saddle Trail yet?  There was some sign down the road ten days ago but couldn't drive 100 yards past the Saddle Butte road. Easy hike though.
