I've been there once or twice.

The archery hunt in 44 or 45 would be conducive to shooting a giant
Probably going to do a late hunt in 44 or 45. When does the rut generally take place over there?

Hunt 44 the first week (Sept 15) for a pre scouted buck or 45 from the 24th-31st.

There are numerous units in Idaho that produce 200 to 240 class bucks, the toughest part is going to be deciding where to hunt! Congrats, excellent tag!

The season in 44 is sept 15-oct 31 and 45 is oct 15-31 so no late seasons in either one. You could hunt 40 in the first couple weeks of November if you want a rut hunt

Congrats! I ran into a guy in 45 who was with the super hunt winner from 2015. Not sure what unit they ended up finding his buck, they had a plan to check out a bunch of units. You're going to have a great Fall

If your talking about ralph, I believe they were in 45.

Ok well I am gearing up and getting ready to head over to Idaho early next week and see what I can find worthy of this super hunt tag.  I also have a general season tag besides the super hunt tag as I didn't know they just give you your deer tag when you get drawn for a super hunt and so I bought one by mistake, turns out might not have been a bad mistake to make. I don't have a time to be back by so it's going to be a long hunting season. Two Idaho deer tags and and a lot of time to fill them so I think it'll be one whitetail, one mule deer so here I go.

We recently saw where two buck fought hard enough to draw blood. The rut is very close, normally we see good rut activity in the last week of October, good luck!
