Pine mountain buck
« on: June 15, 2017, 03:19:50 PM »
My dang nephew hits the lottery again!   Pine mountain buck and a cowiche cow tag this year, last year he drew the cowiche quality bull permit for the rifle rut, and  two years ago pulled another cowiche cow tag! I wish I had half of his luck!
I don't always shoot big mule deer, but when I do, it's with a bow tech!

You guys will have a good hunt, I'm good friends with the owner.   Don't expect to wait for the big perfect 4x4 as it isn't that prevalent there.  Low 20's is a good buck.  If I'm around I can help you guys out a bit.

We appreciate any and all help fortunately we live very close and spend most every weekend in the cowiche unit so we will be able to do lots of scouting

You won't be able to go up and about ahead of time because we'll be hunting the general seasons up there.  But scouting isn't really necessary because those bucks usually move in towers the ems of rifle elk.  And keep showing up through the season you have.  Different bucks show up every day.

Guys,

I live in Cowiche and I heard from another member that Cowiche Mill road has been blocked off and there is pretty much nothing we can do about it.  Just and FYI. North or South fork is open though.

it is true both the cowiche mill road and the Reynolds creek road have been gated access is limited to land owners only through the mill
