Awesome! I called last year to get mine and the person in Olympia was very good to work with had my tag in hand within a few days and saved a road trip to the capital!

So if you don't purchase the tag they will offer it to another applicant?  Has anyone heard of that happening?

The interesting part about the whole ...pay by July 31st... thing is, I emailed them a week ago or so asking what I needed to do and they told me once I got that notification in the mail, I had 10 days to pay for the tag. Now I have that letter and it says July 31. It doesn't matter to me in my case, it'll be paid for this week, but I'm not sure if one hand knows what the other is doing down there.

I've not heard of any other applicants get offered an unclaimed tag, ever.

All those that drew, good luck and hope everything goes well. Here I sit with 2 handfuls of points, could have bought a new rifle by now.

Yeah it was super easy to buy over the phone. The only suggestion I made to them and the biologist is, it would be nice if they had a nicer tag rather than just a cheesy print out like a Deer, Elk, Bear, or cougar tag. I think it would awesome if they were old style printed on a separate paper that looked official and meant more than just any other tag. This will be an awesome experience enjoy!
