This is right after the shot. You can see him dead in his bed.



Soaking it in. Emotions were high at this point. Really, really high.  Not sure I can explain how high.



And this is me praying to God he was a billy. (I was 99% sure he was but never saw him pee)

Congrats Josh. What a memory to have for your lifetime. Hope you took lotsa pictures you can share. I've been up there years ago looking for a mule that was left there because he decided he wanted stay put. Pretty rugged and beautiful country......

Awesome, I'll have you know I pulled my phone out of the pack several times this weekend hoping for an update but couldn't ever get service. Congrats on what sounds like a hell of a hunt and a gorgeous animal.
