Well the season has started good, had a great time camping this week and got a nice Hog Craw!

I have some pics but don't have a clue how to post them. If someone would like to post them pm me a number and I will send the picks. The feelers I made are a bit different. Made the smaller end of the cone separate and bent the ends up then attached the rest of the cone.

I pulled two traps yesterday, 1st one had put a couple of the feelers on. bait hardly touched and only 5 small bugs. 3 had to go back. 2nd (I was out of zip ties so no feelers on this one) The entire fish was gone, just bones and part of the head left. Only 7 small bugs in it. Kind of bummed on that one. I will be installing feelers for the next go around. I think I had a bunch come and go from that trap.

What do you folks typically use for bait? I was thinking of dropping a couple pots in Curlew. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Think local forage. Got bluegill around...cut one up. Fresh forage i think is best.

Ya, the woman and we're just talking about that. Lots of little large mouth, easy to catch. And/or leftover trout bits too.
